Pumpkin Carving

Sadly, it had been years since we carved our pumpkins.  We buy them every year.  I love pumpkins so much, sometimes we even buy them in September, the day the arrive at the store.  But we always get so busy that we forget to carve them.  Plus, when you carve them they get gross and moldy you can't enjoy them through Thanksgiving.  And I need a pumpkin fix that lasts AT LEAST two months of the year.  If not more.

But this year, we decided to pick ONE and carve it together.  Because all kids need the annual experience of squishing their fingers in pumpkin guts.

B's first dive into a pumpkin.

Can't you tell she loved it?

Sadly, I didn't remember to get a picture of the final product.  But it was a strange cross between a jack-o-lantern and a pirate.  E's design.  We loved it.
