My Big Girl

I can't believe it, but this beautiful, joyful, little girl is 18-months-old!  Such a big girl now.  We adore her.  She is fun, determined, sweet, snuggley, and silly.  We love you, Little B!

Works of Art

Over the past few months we have had tragic reactions to works of art from home and school secretly migrating to the recycling bin in the dark of night.  So, to prevent their loss, we now take photos. And blog about them.

Shapes house

Chalk snowman.  I love that she wants to swim with her snowman.  Haha.

Apparently, this is written in Chinese. Didn't know she knew Chinese...

My favorite.  She did this completely unprompted, entirely on her own, and proudly presented it to me. I love it.  The tall thing on the right is a Christmas tree.  According to her, it's a picture of the Doctor Who Christmas Special.  Love that girl.

And the companion piece (literally!) to the one above.  She drew Rose with short dark hair so she would look like me.  Again, love that girl.

She drew Darth Maul and Yoda from a book. Did I mention I love that girl?

This says "Dad is Playing DDR."  Again, figured it out on her own.  Smartie pants.  She rocks.

E with Princess Leia hair.

This is the Grinch.  See him up on top of the mountain?  And the dog with horns is made up of a bunch of different stickers she mismashed together.  So creative.

Super-cool stained-glass coloring pages.

A princess at the beach.

A princess in the forest.

Herself as a princess with the moon.

Herself as a princess at night.

Rapunzel!  Love this one!  I knew exactly what it was when I saw it.

Love that girl!!!!

Awesomeness

My amazing college roommate had a business trip out our way, so we were lucky enough to have her here in our home for a few days.  It was SO fun to relive old times and catch up.  We miss her already!

Welcome Home to Our Hero!

One of my very best friend's sons just came home from serving a tour in Afghanistan.  We are SO, SO, SO, SO grateful for his service and for his sacrifice to keep us safe.

There was a parade of motorcycles and this awesome car carrying our friend.

His proud dad and sister

Welcome Home!!!!

Happy Easter

Easter is such an amazingly happy holiday.  I am so grateful for Jesus Christ, for His sacrifice for me, and for His life, death, and resurrection that makes it possible for me to be with these two cute girls and B forever.  Here are some snapshots from Easter morning with my girls.

Zoo Day!

We also dragged Grandma and Grandpa to the zoo.  They're good sports.
Gibbons.  So cool.  Did you know, monkeys have tails, apes (like the Gibbons) do not?  Learned something new.

She looks so tiny on this little turtle.

And look!  A picture with me in it!  I do exist!

Bring your kids to the zoo, and what do they do?  Spend 20 minutes ogling over a roly poly.

Checking out the bats with Grandpa.

Right before the goats went crazy, knocked E down, and started head-butting each other.  Drama at the zoo.

A rare family photo!

Grandpa B was nice enough to take us all out for amazingly delicious ice cream after a long day at the zoo.

Little B was very happy with her giant chocolate-chip cookie.
